Writer: Rick Chambers

Rick Chambers is an award-winning author and an avid fan of Star Trek since its original run. He has authored four books; his latest is a science fiction novel, Radiance, that was published in 2010. Rick has won many awards for his short stories, most in the science fiction genre, as well as awards for his professional writing in public relations and journalism. One of his short stories, “No Greater Leap,” took second place in The Leap Back 2009 Fiction Contest, honoring the 20th anniversary of “Quantum Leap” and earning praise directly from Star Trek: Enterprise actor Scott Bakula.

Phase II is not Rick’s first venture into Trek fan films. In 1990, he wrote, produced and appeared in “Star Trek: Déjà Vu,” in which Commander Peter Kirk leads the Enterprise crew on a dangerous search for his missing uncle; and in 1991, he wrote, produced and appeared in the spoof short “Star Trek XXIII: The Really, Truly Final Voyage,” which aired in part on the ABC-TV series “America’s Funniest People.” Outside of Trek, Rick wrote two episodes of the online anthology series “Chronicles.” Currently, he is working on a compilation of his short stories as well as a stage play based on "Doctor Who."
